My wife and I were visiting Sweden, staying (on land) in a friend's apartment, and wanted to extend our trip. I hoped we might be able to join a cruise directly from Stockholm. Well, I called Ivy, explained the situation, and she found us a beautiful suite on a Silver Seas cruise. This cruise was stopping in Stockholm on its way to St. Petersburg. Everyone said it was impossible to join a cruise in the middle of a its journey, but Ivy found a way! Apparently, there were some last minute cancelations, and a suite became available, we got it! Passports were updated, Ivy got us the Visas for Russia, booked the accommodations, and arranged for luggage transfers. And we spent 8 glorious days on a Silver Seas Cruise thanks to Ivy, which nobody thought we could do! And now I look forward to working with Ivy on our next journey or expedition!

Ivy, We had a FANTASTIC trips--one of my best ever! As you know, I had never experienced a TAUCK Tour and it was fabulous with only 18 of us on this trip. It was interesting, informative and, more importantly, FUN! Switzerland changed the Covid protocols in the middle of the trip which required us to be tested every 48 hours and we had to have the negative test to enter hotels, restaurants, etc. The positive aspect was that there were very few tourists (we saw only one tour bus parked in Lucerne and the local guide mentioned that there were usually 20!!!) We also felt comfortable when we were in the restaurants and hotels that everyone had their vaccines and had negative test results. The people in Switzerland without vaccines sat outside (so different from Florida). Thank You so much for your valuable assistance in planning this trip which was really fabulous. Ivy of Prestige Travel is the most amazing travel agent I have ever worked with. Ivy just planned a trip to Egypt with a Nile River Cruise for our family using Insight Vacations. Each day of the trip was perfect, well planned, the guides were outstanding and our Nile ship was top notch. Ivy booked air line reservations from 3 cities (3 family members in different US cities) in the US to Cairo and each flight without problems and all connections were secure.

Dear Ivy,

Boy, are you good at your job!!! Our trip to Italy exceeded all expectations and then some. Your suggestions for hotels were absolutely spot on for their architectural beauty, impeccable service, and unmistakable charm.

Starting with the Grand Hotel Excelsior Victoria with its unbelievable view of the bay of Naples. Our room was decorated with fine antiques. It's balcony gave us an opportunity to watch from high above the arrival and departures of the ferries crossing to bay to Capri or Naples. In the distance we saw Mt. Vesuvius, and the view never got old. One of the most outstanding features of the hotel {besides its warm and friendly staff} was the most incredible and beautiful staircase we have ever seen. We never took the elevator because walking the stairs was a spiritual experience. The hotel's location was also so central that walking the town was easy and convenient. There was even an elevator which brought right to the harbor. What a great start to our trip!

Next was the Villa La Massa which provided a whole new and wonderful experience. Our room was breathtakingly elegant. The scenery from the full length multi-pained window at the foot of our four poster bed was a sweeping view of the meandering Arno River, and in the distance on the hillside was an imposing golden villa, as well as delightful smaller homes. The gardens were lovely and planted with the largest dahlias I have ever seen. There were fruit trees and olive trees and vegetables and herbs. The hotel was in a quiet valley outside the noisy bustle of Florence. They provided transportation on a regular basis which took you right to the Pont de Vecchio. Again the staff was warm and friendly, and couldn't do enough for us. Did I mention the lovely spa and steam room?

And then we were off to the famous Belmond Hotel Splendido. This hotel is indeed SPLENDID. Upon our arrival the desk clerk announced {with a big smile and playful manner} that our room was now a suite. We had been upgraded. Wow! In our lovely room we sat on the balcony and savored the breathtaking view of Portofino Harbor with its glittering turquoise water. We watched a variety of boats from small fishing boats to imposing sail boats and yachts move in and out of the harbor. The light, the color, and the pure physical beauty of the place was such an experience. All of that combined with a jovial staff that just couldn't do enough for you, made it such a memorable place, I already want to go back.

And then there is The Grand Hotel Tremezzo on Lake Como. The hotel is definitely like something out of a movie. {Grand Budapest Hotel comes to mind} It's physical beauty and central location cannot be beat. The hotel's interior is as spectacular and awesome as its exterior. The dramatic views and cultural opportunities of Lake Como should be on everyone's bucket list One travels by boat to wonderful hillside towns that have been charming visitors for centuries, and we were overwhelmingly charmed every day we were there. The staff at the Tremezzo were all so obliging and friendly. They even knew what kind of coffee to give me with my breakfast. Speaking of breakfast every morning was a feast. {And that was true at all our hotels, by the way}

So Ivy, in short, our trip to Italy was SUPRIMO thanks to you. Grazie Bene

I wanted you to know how perfect our stay was in Paris. The Pont Royal hotel was so caring and kind to us. One day we arrived from a trek to a museum and stopped for a sandwich at the bakery. We returned to the hotel and the bartender set us up in the little lounge with placemats, a runner and napkins and hot chocolate! It was precious! but cold and rainy outside. It didn't hold us up at all. Although it seemed at times we had walked to Normandy and back, we loved it all! Thanks so much for your assistance as well as Viti & Jackie.

PS. The Waterfront was terrific. We had a corner room, great big windows, probably the best room in the hotel. The Fairmont Gold is the way to go. The lounge had wonderful appetizers too. Tea at the Empress was delicious. A step back in time. On the way over and back, I sat up front with the pilot. Trip is going great! Weather couldn't be better.

Wanted you to know that my granddaughter and I did enjoy this cruise - in spite of the heat. What made the cruise for Alicia were the dinner seating companions - two couples in late twenties, early thirties. One couple from Wales and the other from Ireland. They included Alicia in activities after dinner and didn't seem to mind having an older person during dinner. In fact, for three nights in a row the person above the head waiter had to ask us to leave so they coule get ready for next seating - all in good humor. Le Meriden was great. Thanks for your input.
